KTM 390 Adventure Accessories in India (2026): What Fits the R, S, X and the Older Model
A complete accessories guide for the KTM 390 Adventure, split by generation so you order parts that actually fit. Real prices for crash guards, luggage, brakes, filters and exhausts, plus three budget build ladders.
The single most important thing before you buy anything for a KTM 390 Adventure is knowing which one you own. KTM has sold two very different generations under this name, and the 2025 onwards bike splits again into the Adventure X, Adventure S and Adventure R. Crash guards, radiator grills, headlight guards and luggage mounts are not interchangeable across those. Get that right and the rest is easy. This guide covers what fits what, with real prices, and three build ladders depending on what you want to spend.
Which KTM 390 Adventure do you have?
Work this out first. It decides everything below.
- 2020 to 2024 (the original 390 Adventure). 19-inch front wheel, cast alloys, the older bodywork and trellis subframe. Most protection parts listed simply as "KTM Adventure 390" are built for this bike.
- 2025 onwards, Adventure S. The standard new-generation bike. WP Apex suspension with 200 mm travel front and 205 mm rear, tubeless spoke wheels, 21-inch front and 17-inch rear.
- 2025 onwards, Adventure R. The off-road focused version. WP Apex units with 230 mm travel at both ends, roughly 30 mm more than the S, an 880 mm seat height, 272 mm ground clearance, tube-type spoke wheels in a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear combination, knobby Mitas Enduro Trail tyres, and an Offroad ride mode with rear-wheel ABS defeat.
- 2025 onwards, Adventure X. The most accessible variant in the new family.
The practical consequence: parts on our site labelled "2025 Model" or "Gen 3" are for the new-generation bike. Parts labelled just "KTM Adventure 390" are built around the 2020 to 2024 machine. The extra suspension travel and ride height on the R also changes how bash plates and lower crash bars sit, so if you have an R, tell us before you order and we will give you fitment guidance rather than let you guess.
What should you buy first?
Protection, every time. An ADV that gets dropped at walking pace on a trail can cost more in radiator and bodywork damage than the entire guard set. In rough order of value:

Crash guards and body protection
For the 2025 model, the Legundary Raptor Crash Guard in black is ₹6,987, with an orange version at ₹6,988 if you want it to match the frame. Pair it with the Vector Radiator Grill at ₹1,989 and the Oculus Headlight Shield at ₹2,289. If you ride trails properly, the Rotex Front Wheel Slider at ₹4,688 is worth having.
For the 2020 to 2024 bike, the LCB range splits protection into two pieces so you can buy in stages. The Raptor Upper Crash Guard is ₹4,679 and the Bellator Lower Crash Guard is ₹3,799. Add the Crater Bash Plate at ₹3,583, the Sherpa Radiator Grill at ₹2,589, the Obex Headlight Grill at ₹1,488 and the Calx Side Stand Base at ₹1,189.
The Brooch Number Plate Holder at ₹1,683 is the part people forget until the stock bracket cracks on the first bad road.
Luggage and touring kit
A 390 Adventure without luggage mounts is a commuter with a big front wheel. For the 2025 bike, the Gopher Luggage Carrier is ₹3,988. For the older bike, the Haulier Rear Carrier is ₹2,888 and the Casus Saddle Stay at ₹3,688 is what stops soft panniers fouling the rear wheel or exhaust.
Two more worth budgeting for: the LCB Backrest at ₹1,689 if you carry a pillion, and the Ploigos GPS Mount at ₹1,687 for the 2025 model. The FlashX Hazard Flash Module at ₹2,269 adds proper hazard lights, which is genuinely useful on highways and in convoy riding.

Brake pads: which compound for the 390 Adventure?
The 390 Adventure is heavy enough and fast enough that stock pads fade on long descents. You have three sensible routes.
- Ceramic, for road and mixed use. The Ngage Whisker Ceramic front pad for the Gen 3 bike is ₹1,389, with the same price on the rear pad. Quieter and easier on discs.
- Sintered, for load and heat. The Ngage sintered front pad for Gen 3 is ₹2,189. The 66BHP Race Pro sintered set is ₹1,989. Better if you tour two-up or ride loaded.
- Premium ceramic. Vesrah SD-9068 front and SD-953 rear are ₹1,750 each. CRANK1 Carbon is ₹2,670.

Air filter, exhaust and tuning

Consumables worth getting right
The 390 is an oil-sensitive, high-revving single. Motul 7100 10W-50 in 1.5 L is ₹1,524, which suits a standard oil change, with 1 L at ₹1,029 and 2.5 L at ₹2,444 if you prefer to keep a top-up bottle. More on grades in our motorcycle engine oil guide.
The NGK LKAR8AI-9 iridium plug is ₹515 and fits the Duke, RC and Adventure 125 to 390. The Rolon brass chain and sprocket kit is ₹3,759, which is the part most owners leave far too long.
Three build ladders by budget
Around ₹9,000, protect what breaks first. On the 2025 bike: Vector radiator grill ₹1,989, Oculus headlight shield ₹2,289, Calx side stand base ₹1,189. On the older bike: Sherpa radiator grill ₹2,589, Obex headlight grill ₹1,488, Calx side stand base ₹1,189, Crater bash plate ₹3,583, which comes to ₹8,849.
Around ₹22,000, make it tour-ready. Add crash protection and luggage. On the older bike that is the Raptor upper guard ₹4,679, Bellator lower guard ₹3,799, Haulier rear carrier ₹2,888 and Casus saddle stay ₹3,688 on top of the ₹8,849 above, landing near ₹23,900. On the 2025 bike, the Raptor crash guard ₹6,987 and Gopher carrier ₹3,988 on top of ₹5,467 lands near ₹16,400.
