NGK Laser Iridium. The plug NGK specifies for Maruti's K12N DualJet and K10C petrol engines, and a straight swap for what your car left the factory with.

The fine-wire iridium centre electrode concentrates the spark into a smaller, sharper discharge. Day to day that means easier cold starts, a steadier idle and cleaner combustion. Iridium barely erodes, so the gap stays where the factory set it rather than drifting wider over the miles.

Taisor owners, check which engine you have. This is the 1.2 naturally aspirated car. The Taisor 1.0 turbo takes the ILZKR7D8 instead.

Driving a 2024 or newer Swift or Dzire?

This is not your plug. Maruti moved the Swift to the three-cylinder Z12E in May 2024 and the Dzire in Nov 2024. Those take the ILKAR7Z11S, which we also stock. Cars older than the dates above run the K12M and take the LKR6F-10, or the LKR7BIX-P for iridium.

Running factory CNG?

Your S-CNG car takes this same plug. NGK lists the CNG variants on this part directly, so there is no separate CNG plug to go looking for, and the heat range is deliberately the same as the petrol car's.

Iridium is worth more on a CNG car than on a petrol one, for two reasons. CNG needs more voltage to ignite than petrol, and a fine iridium wire fires at lower voltage. And gas wears electrodes faster, where iridium barely erodes.

Fit as supplied. Have the plugs checked a little earlier than you would on a petrol-only car, simply because gas is harder on them.

Fitting

Arrives pre-gapped and ready to fit. Thread in by hand first, then torque to your manual's figure. If you check the gap, move the outer electrode only.
