NGK IKR9J8 Laser Iridium Spark Plug for Jeep Compass 1.4 Petrol (2016 to 2020)

The NGK IKR9J8 is the laser iridium spark plug NGK India specifies for the Jeep Compass 1.4 petrol, model years 2016 to 2020. It is a direct, like-for-like replacement.

The iridium fine-wire centre electrode holds a precise gap under the higher cylinder pressures of a turbocharged engine, supporting consistent ignition, easier cold starts and clean throttle response.

Note the heat range. This is a heat range 9 plug, deliberately colder because the engine is turbocharged. Do not substitute a hotter plug. If your Compass is a diesel it has no spark plugs at all, and if it is a later model year, message us with the year before ordering.

The 1.4 is a four-cylinder, so a full change takes four plugs.

Fitting note

Supplied pre-gapped. If you check the gap, move only the outer ground electrode. Thread in by hand, then torque to your service manual figure.
