NGK Iridium IX. A 0.6mm fine-wire iridium centre electrode in place of a conventional one, firing a sharper, more focused spark.
On a big single that has to light cleanly from cold every morning, that means easier starting, a steadier idle and cleaner running. Iridium barely erodes, so the gap holds long after a nickel plug would have widened.
Direct fit. Nothing to adjust.

Those twin-spark engines need this plug and a CPR6EAIX-9S. We sell both together as a complete kit, which is the easier way to buy it.
The 500 changed with BS4. The BS3 500 is twin-spark and needs two plugs. The BS4 500 runs a single plug, this one. Royal Enfield's own BS3 manual is explicit that two plugs are fitted, so if your 500 predates BS4 you want the kit, not this plug on its own. Not sure which you have? Send us your registration year.
The cast-iron Bullet takes the BR6HIX. The J-series 350 from 2020 (Classic, Meteor, Hunter) is a different engine again.
