BMC FB444/01 Performance Air Filter

A washable, reusable panel filter for the earlier transverse-engine VAG cars, mainly the 1.8 / 2.0 TSI and TDI engines. It sits inside the factory airbox in place of the paper element and replaces OE 1K0 129 620 (D, F, G, L), 3C0 129 620 (A, B), 3C0 129 607 AS and 5C0 129 620.

Multi-layer oiled cotton gauze, full moulded in a single piece with no welded joints, filtering down to 7 microns. Cleaned and re-oiled rather than replaced.

Fitment guidance

The Skoda Laura sold in India is the Octavia II (1Z), so the 1.8 TSI and 1.9 / 2.0 TDI Laura falls under the Octavia II entries above. BMC's list uses European model names, so please match the part number on your old filter before ordering.

This filter does not fit

• The India VW Vento. BMC's "Vento (A5 / A6)" is the Latin American name for the Jetta. The India Vento is built on the Polo platform and takes BMC FB576/08 (TSI / TDI) or FB578/20 (1.6 MPI).
• Audi Q5. A longitudinal-engine car with a different airbox. Only the Q3 is covered.
• Later 1.2 / 1.4 TSI and TFSI engines (EA211, OE 04E 129 620), such as the Octavia III 1.4 TSI, Audi A3 (8V) and Q3 (8U) 1.4 TFSI: these take BMC FB757/01.
