Both Plugs. One Order.
Every Royal Enfield 650 is a parallel twin, which means it runs two spark plugs, and they should always be replaced as a pair. Fitting one new plug alongside one worn plug leaves the two cylinders firing on different ignition characteristics, which is exactly what you are trying to fix.
This pack contains two NGage B8RII-8 double iridium spark plugs, so a full plug change is a single purchase rather than a guessing game at checkout.
Fitment
NGage part number B8RII-8. Listed by NGage for the following twin-cylinder Royal Enfield models:
Royal Enfield Interceptor 650
Royal Enfield Continental GT 650
Royal Enfield Bear 650
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650
Royal Enfield Classic 650
Compatible with both BS4 and BS6 vehicles. If you ride a single-cylinder machine such as the Himalayan 411 or 440, you need one plug, not two, so order the single instead. The Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450 are not compatible with this plug at all, as they use a different engine architecture and ignition specification. If you are unsure which applies to your bike, message us and we will help you check.
Double Iridium Construction
NGage specifies the B8RII-8 as a double iridium spark plug, meaning iridium is used on both the centre electrode and the ground electrode. Iridium is chosen for its ability to withstand high combustion temperatures while holding electrode shape over time, which is why it is common in modern motorcycles running tighter emission and combustion control. Manufactured in Japan, as stated on the packaging.
Installation Notes
Do not re-gap these plugs. Iridium plugs are pre-set at the factory and the fine centre electrode can be damaged by a feeler gauge or gapping tool. Many older spark plug tutorials show gapping, because they were filmed with copper plugs. Skip that step.
Work on a cold engine only.
Clean around each plug before removing it, so no grit falls into the cylinder.
Thread each plug in by hand first. If it does not turn smoothly, back it out and start again rather than forcing it into the aluminium head.
Tighten to the torque figure in your Royal Enfield service manual. NGage does not publish its own gap or torque values for this part.
Change both plugs together.
