Silver Stallion Performance Pvt Ltd, abbreviated SSP and listed by some dealers as SS Motocorp, builds free-flow exhausts for Royal Enfield, Triumph, Honda, BSA, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The company is based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and every system in this range is designed, developed and dyno tested in India.
What SSP stands for
SSP is short for Silver Stallion Performance. Silver Stallion, Silver Stallion Performance, SSP and SS Motocorp all refer to the same manufacturer and the same parts. If you have been quoted an SSP exhaust by a dealer, it is what you will find on this page.
The 4Ds
SSP builds to a four stage process it calls the 4Ds: Design for airflow and shape, Detail in the welds and finish, Development for fit and durability, and Dyno to prove the numbers rather than claim them. Every system is signed off on a dyno before it is sold, which is why each listing here carries a specific BHP and torque figure rather than a vague promise.
LRT heat blanket
The Royal Enfield 650 range and the BSA Gold Star system carry SSP's LRT wrap: an Italian stitched blanket wrapped in Mylar coated pre-laminated aluminium. It holds a low radiant temperature, resists water, and is built so there is no loss of wool and no change in sound as the wrap ages. SSP lists it as the only treatment of its kind offered in India.
What SSP makes
- Slip-on exhausts for the Royal Enfield 650 twins, the 350 J-series and UCE platforms, the Himalayan and Scram range, Triumph 400s and Bonnevilles, Honda CB350, BSA Gold Star and Kawasaki Z900 and Z1000. Typical gains run from +1.5 BHP to +3 BHP.
- Full systems with competition headers, dual O2 sensor compatible, quoting up to 12 percent more power and 7 percent more torque.
- Big bore free flow bend pipes that open up the mid section so a free-flow can is not choked by a stock diameter pipe.
Finishes and fitment
Most systems come in Silver, Black Matte and Brushed, and the Hunter 350 SHORTY adds a Dual Tone option. Fitment on every listing follows the SSP dealer catalogue. If your model year or variant is not listed, send us the registration year and a photo of the current exhaust mount and we will help you work out the right part before you order.
Common questions
Is SSP the same as Silver Stallion?
Yes. SSP is the abbreviation of Silver
Stallion Performance Pvt Ltd. SS Motocorp appears on some dealer listings for the same parts.
Will an SSP exhaust throw a check engine light?
The full systems and bend pipes
retain both oxygen sensor bungs, so the ECU stays in closed loop and reads the sensors as it did from the
factory. Slip-ons leave the sensors untouched.
Do I need a remap?
No. The systems are built to run on the stock map. A remap is
optional and only worth it if you are chasing the last few percent on a dyno.
Where are SSP exhausts made?
In Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.
Are they road legal?
They are aftermarket performance parts. Indian rules require
a silencer meeting the noise limit your motorcycle was homologated to, and enforcement varies by state.
Check your local position before fitting.
